I was very excited about filming this wedding for a couple of reasons. First, I had known and met the bride, Julie many times over the course of the years in weddings, as she is a makeup artist and we had worked together many times at weddings before. Secondly, Sinclair of Skaneateles was a wedding venue that I was dying to work at and it totally lived up to its hype!

Throughout the wedding day, I got to learn about Julie and Paolo’s awesome relationship and their amazing family they have surrounding them. I got to hear about how the bride and groom first met in high school. I got to hear about the kind hearts they have and how honor and tradition runs deep in their family. I got to hear time and time again how they are a perfect match for each other. And finally, I got to witness two big Italian families come together and have the time of their lives celebrating this perfect couple.

The wedding itself was absolutely beautiful. They thought of so many details. Sinclair of Skaneateles was effortlessly beautiful, I absolutely loved the area they had for Julie and her bridesmaids to get ready. The bride and groom also hired live painters where guests got their photos taken as they arrived at the reception and got to walk away with a hand painted card of their photo as a favor at the end of the night. So cool! They had authentic Italian music and a gelato cart. Everything was so fun and so delicious!

I got to push myself creatively with this one a bit. Julie loved the vintage vibe and I had a lot of fun trying some new styles, new type of music, and go outside the box a little bit! Congratulations Julie and Paolo, you had an amazing wedding and I had a blast hanging with you for the day!
