I have been looking forward to Samantha and Nicholas’ wedding for a long time. Samantha and I first talked on the phone when she was considering who to hire for her wedding videographer. From that first phone call, I was really excited to work with her! I learned then that Samantha had a daughter and that Samantha and Nicholas first met while they were in college at SUNY Delhi. And while the road to their wedding day may have been a little winding, it’s amazing to see how they have really become a family over the years. I loved hearing from EVERYONE on the wedding day (both Sam and Nich and from the toasts!) how awesome it was for Nich to step into the father figure role and now the three of these wonderful humans have officially become a family!

I was also a little extra excited to film this wedding beacuse I had already got the opportunity to meet with Sam, Nich, and Kylie last summer for an engagement session. They were SO fun to work with and they were so adorable together that I knew this wedding would be a hit. Plus, they’ve really helped me learn about many new locations around upstate NY! We did their engagement session near the Oneonta area and for their wedding, we went out to Maple Shade Farm in Delhi. I really loved this venue and hope to be able to go out there more often!

They got married on October 2, 2201, wihch was Sam’s grandparent’s wedding anniversary. The day was absolutely gorgeous! The sun shone bright and I had a blast discovering all the wonderful spots for photos and video around Maple Shade Farm with Jen Pecka of Jen Pecka Photography. Oh and how can I not mention that Sam LOVES Disney – so there were little details sprinkled throughout their day with nods to Disney.
